Terry is some one I worked with at Hughes years ago for many years. When we first met, we had cubicles next to each other. I admire him for his technical capability and, even more importantly, for the great person he truly is. I’m still “drawing missiles” and hope Terry continues to provide is technical insight. He is an asset to our entire industry.

Good to hear from you Mark! I hope you are happy and doing well. You and I worked on some interesting things together. Thank you for your kind and supportive words. I have been greatly blessed to associate with many fine and talented people such as yourself during my 50 year aerospace engineering career. Candidly, I must admit to the fact that it has been quite a challenge to come to grips with the reality that my time in the aerospace saddle has come to an end. Notwithstanding, while stepping away from active involvement in the aerospace industry in general and White Eagle Aerospace in particular, I will endeavor to support both from the sidelines in the days ahead.

Congratulations on your long career devoted to making our nation safer, for giving so many of us students wonderful insights — not just the technical aspects, which were most excellent, but you also provided so many historical insights, many from your own many years of aerospace work. Enjoy your retirement knowing your work and kindness to so many are greatly appreciated!

Thank you Max for your very thoughtful sentiments. Your mention of me “making our nation safer” are particularly touching and meaningful coming from you in light of your own valiant military service and subsequent sterling career as an aerospace professional. It has been a great blessing and privilege to be associated with a wonderful field of endeavor and exemplary individuals like you for much of my life. I will greatly miss both.

Congratulations to you Terry. You are the consummate aerospace professional. You taught me aerodynamics. It was a class where I could always count on you to have a kernel of aerospace history to share – complete with dates, rates, altitudes and names – all without preparation, just on the fly *pun intended*. I still find these stories of amazing achievements (now on your WEA Blog) as rich and detailed as I remember from back then. Your technical abilities and memory for details amazed me. You are an inspiration to all of us who were blessed enough to have worked with you.
